Anonymous CVS is back!

We have anonymous cvs working again. Directions on how to access it are here:

We automatically upload any file changes every hour and although
Sourceforge's anonymous cvs system seems to be 2-3 hours behind, the longest you will have to wait for the very latest is probably around 4 hours.

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemulator login
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemulator co EQEmuCVS

to get the latest files

NOTE: This is only for the people who wish to compile the source on their own, although I will try to throw in a compiled version as much as possible.

ahh.. theres a lot of stuff behind the scenes smogo. this past couple weeks the most stuff has gone into eqemu i've seen in a long time.

Mostly because of FNW. 2 grid is now in, tradeskills overhaul, loot dropping overhaul, line of sight, haste / hp / mp regen on items fixed, and the brand new lucy leeched items table with 4500ish new items.

most of this is still in the testing behind the scenes stage. but it's all new stuff that's working great

Check out the tutorials forum. You've got a choice - play on somone else's server, or create your own and play on that. Instructions for how to do both are in there.

That's great news that anon CVS is back as an option. Looks like the EMU is really getting a nice refresh, keep up the good work!

As for the other folks asking about how to do CVS and the like, this is a thread about it being available, not a help request.

Please do a google search for CVS before posting messages that are covered by hundreds or thousands of CVS tutorial pages. The long and the short of it is that if you don't know what it is, you probably don't need to be using it.

I did what the guide told me, but it keeps saying Error: Timeout occured.... And when I check my eqhost.txt after that happens it adds this -

Xiceman, this is a thread about anon CVS...NOT a support thread. Please take your issue to a support forum and not hijack an announcement that has absolutely nothing to do with you being able to play the emu.
