I'm optimistic and hope this guide with pretty pictures will prevent the influx of questions about how to connect. NOTE: If you are getting a timeout error on one of the non-5.8 loginservers, YOU ARE SCREWED. DON'T ASK FOR A FIX, IT'S ILLEGAL AND INVOLVES WAREZ.

**UPDATE**
There was a slight error on my side regarding making the shortcut to eqgame.exe. The guide has been updated, thanks to those who informed me.

just so you know melwin, if the files are offered from france its not illegal. :)

in that case its not illegal to host them or distributing them.
about getting them if you are not from france, i dont know.

It's still illegal to download them for everyone who isn't from France, and possibly people who are for France (I don't know to be honest).

Thus, it is illegal on these forums.

What happened that we cant patch as of 9/14? I wish i would of done it yesterday, now we gotta find a patcher from some diff site?

They more than likely changed quite a bit of stuff today(9/14) with the patch so eqemu is broken.
