Is ther a way to summon a no drop item for another player to be able to use?

Summon item, spawn a level 1 mob, give item to mob (trade), have other person kill mob and loot.

I'd be careful using Wingnut's method because theres a good possibility that if that item is lore, you will never again be able to loot or summon that item again. The better way is spawn the mob, then use #npcloot add to directly add the loot to him.

I think that problem with the lore items was fixed a release or two ago--- at least it doesn't seem to happen anymore on my LAN server.

However, I do agree that using #npcloot is a much better way to do it.

Just click the NPC, type #npcloot add <item number here and ignore the greater than less then signs>

the #npcloot is the way I do it (if ever should I need to summon a nodrop item for someone else). Sometimes if you give a nodrop item to a mob/npc, it becomes a vendor then poofs when you slay it.
