Bearshare is your answer. (http://www.bearshare.com)

2 things installed, save.exe and weathercast.exe. EASILY removed, and it doesnt reinstall them or require them unless you upgrade.

I never use any FT software anymore because it sucks the big one, but I fired up my copy of KL Revolution for shits and giggles and it works fine.

Yeah Cisyouc, bearshare rocks. works great except the "theater" part where it takes like a year to load anything, but bearshare > kazaa still.

Kazaa Lite K++ uses Kazaa's network, which I think is also linked to a few others. The part of it that was 'shutdown' is the fact that Sherman Networks actually started slapping sites that hosted the software with DMCA violations. This has made the software almost impossible to obtain.

From what I've heard, Sherman Networks only did this to make the RIAA happy. Before they didn't care... why should they? The more people hosting, the better their network. The people who hosted the most were on K++ clients. Why kill that much network traffic?

My friend of a friend uses Kazaa Lite Ressurection to download royalty free songs ;) wink. It still works as some have said above,
This is not a direct link to it, but points ya in the direction (not sure if this is ok to post, if not tell me )

**Link removed because it hosts warez**

Limewire is java-based... therefore it sucks :D Use Kazaa Lite Resurrection or Shareaza.

Don't show the link. Better safe than sorry.

Because it's a close call, you get a verbal deterrent and not a strike.
