If you want to run a good and stable Eqemu server i recommend this.

Min what i have got away with ....
Xp pro
256mb
T1
1.3ghz
I got 32 people on but with a page file witch was 5gigs

Recommended:
3.0ghz or more
Figure each zone takes up 256ram so for each zone add more ram.
But thats just to be safe you can get away with a gig or 2.
A Hard drive with 10gig's or more Runs at 7200rpm 8mb cash.
T1 or higher. More then 30 people go T3.
and to top it all off make sure that its dedicated.

Unbelievable god like server:
2 dedicated one runing World and Mysql the other zone
2 Duel 3.6ghz P4's
8 Gig's of ram
10gig or more scuzzy drive
OC193 line

I have the old server case from my father's old company...It's got an OC193 line, 5 gigs of ram per computer, 12 rack mount computers total. One running world, one running mysql, 10 running zone(s). All 3.6 ghz AMD 64s. Anyone want me to host their server...pay me :D. Haaa jk, It's already hosting all of my friend's CS servers.

It's got an OC193 line,

Must be nice to have $35,000 a month to drop for game servers.

T1 is about 1024k/s, T3 is about 3 times that, OC193 is just...insane, i dont know the k/s.

From what heard the bandwidth on "OC193" can be anywhere up to a couple gigs of information per second, my sources could be wrong, but that's what I heard.

OC193 For ANY practical uses has no cap i mean i am sure there is but you will never max it out

I bet I could max it out, why?

BECAUSE I AM RICHARDO, har harahharahrahr

anyhow, I have 6 of these running to my house, and I just bought 12 flying space guitars..

OC-1 51.84 Mbps
OC-3 155.52 Mbps
OC-12 622.08 Mbps
OC-24 1.244 Gbps
OC-48 2.488 Gbps
OC-192 10 Gbps
OC-256 13.271 Gbps
OC-768 40 Gbps

OC-192 costs $20 billion a year to use, the addon parts you need to even connect to it cost over $2 million, and in order to use it it is split into t-3 lines ( same with all OC-xx )

So i call shannagins and call him out on this claim.

I challenge him to post a scan of his next invoice from the service provider (any ultra-sensitive fields blacked out fine, but at least it can be halfway verified :D)
