MySQL Use

I was wondering, since I can't log in right now because of the latest patch and I'm tinkering with FQAdmin.exe, I was wondering how databases are set up, uploaded, etc?

I read the readmes, I searched the MySQL site and found hundreds of downloads, but can't find the information on how to connect to this "MySQL server" and upload a database afterwards.

Any nudge in the right direction would help lots. Thanks!

To get the MySQL database server:

- Go to http://www.mysql.com Yup, their site is a disaster. On the left side under "Navigation", click "Downloads".

- Click on version 3.23, and scroll down to find the binary package you want (for Windows, scroll down to Windows Downloads and download the ZIP file)

- Unzip/untar or whatever (depending on whether you're using Windows or *NIX) and install the database server.

- Then download the EQEmu server. I know it needs to be updated for the patch, but it contains the Windows Install Guide that will walk you through setting the EQEmu database up.
