Lots of good stuff here...
1. OpenZone now supports opacity maps in most places. For instance, when you click on the ellipsis (...) button on the properties pane, the popup window now lets you specify opacity masks in addition to textures. OpenZone assumes that opacity masks are grayscale where black is totally transparent and white is totally opaque. As such, it only looks at the red channel when using them for alpha values. Whenever you change the opacity mask of a texture, OpenZone will reload the texture so you can see the change.
