Sup guys. Was wondering if any of you had any books you could recomend to pick up some of the basics that you guys use for building such badass things such as the EQemu. I am very computer savy and am in my first year as a computer science major. I figured this may give me an edge not also in school but give me something to kill some time with. Any suggestions would be great!

Haha thats true, but most of my classes this semester dont entail things like cvs and things like that. Anyone have any good tutorial books? Guess i could just sit at my comp and google it all day too.

Learn SQL sooner than later. I don't endorse any specific book for this, just to say, learn it. It'll help you here AND in the real world.

If you want to learn perl to make the quests in eqemu, the "llama book" (I believe it is actually "Learning Perl" and has a llama on the cover) is a highly recommended one and the one I learned with.
