Below are the links to the files for the Epic 1.0 Quests for Clerics, Druids and Rangers.

Some of the files existed in their entirety, some I had to fix, some I had to write.

You will have to tweak your database a bit, so I would suggest you go thru and do the quests yourself as a GM and see what YOUR Database needs. In the Cleric Epic, you may need to add a couple of TradeSkills. I have them included but see that text about them before you add them.

I've gone thru all of these quests several times, shortening text where it needed to be and made sure that all turn ins worked properly.

Here are the links to the files...

I'm working on the other classes as well....

Enjoy.

the PEQ quest db already has 8 verified epic quests, including the ranger and cleric, for download.

muuss wrote the cleric epic and submitted it and i wrote the ranger files. maybe you could note if/where you made changes to the existing files.

Ylosh, just a suggestion, but is there any way to make the PEQ quest database more "public"? I had searched this forum endlessly looking for 1.0 epic scripts before embarking on what I thought was a ground-breaking effort to complete the Cleric Epic as well (seems a favorite for script writers :))

The only time I learned about PEQs quest repository was accidentally stumbling across a link on the PEQ site itself. Maybe I am blind, but I could see no obvious link to it. Am I making sense? Probably not. early on Sunday and barely 1/2 a cup of coffee in my system. :D

TIA,
J

I sent Ylosh a PM asking just about the same thing.

Thanks for posting your message John, now I know it's not just me. I've downloaded all 3 of the Quest files from Project EQ, and none of them have the complete set of files.

It's helped me to figure out how things work though, so it was beneficial in one way. :D

Maybe Ylosh is refering to a cvs repository. But the only one I was able to find is whoefully outdated.

I would kill to get my hands on daily or even weekly snapshots of the PEQ databases.

This is what we are talking about:
http://www.projecteq.net/quests/

I never knew that was there, except for some fortunate link in a post somewhere. I am not even sure how this gets updated, but I bet Ylosh does. :)

That is just a list of them and it even shows the Druid Epic as incomplete, so it must be outdated.

Good find though John....

thats just a list of what's been verified as being completed. we try to get exact dialogue for most everything but some files aren't correct. i kind of gave up on the druid epic when i couldn't find dialogue for ella when the stone was handed to her.

you can get all the current quests from anonymous cvs access. i'm sure theres a link around here somewhere with the new way to access the cvs files.

http://www.projecteq.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=121 shows how to get .pl files from cvs

projecteq.net/quests gets updated when someone submits a complete quest for review. it's mostly for people who are on the quest team for the PEQ server to mark quests checked out and everyone can see what each other is working on. then either mystic414 or i go through all of the submitted files and make sure they're working, things are spelled right, file structures are correct, etc.. after that we give the quest a test run. if everything works well it gets verified and committed to the server and is available for everyone to download.

as for updated versions of current luclin db...there is something set up to get current revisions but you'd have to ask fathernitwit about access to it. i can't say yes or no to that.

Thanks Ylosh.

For those who are interested in getting connected to the CVS but it fails when following the instructions in the link in Ylosh's message above this one, you only need to change the LAST Line to be

:pserver:anonymous@eqemuquests.cvs.sourceforge.net :/cvsroot/eqemuquests

at least, this is how I got it to work in WinCVS...

Is this list accurate?

http://www.projecteq.net/quests/index.php

I'm interested in helping with classic quests.

I've completed a few of those considered 'incomplete'.

I've joined the channel mentioned in other posts on Irc. I'd like to help.

Thanks,

Yep, that list is kept current.

You can either post them in the Quest submission forum here, or over on the PEQ website. Either way I'll see them and merge them in.
