Since the server itself seems to be dead i'm going to host the db and quests of the server for a while.

SoN DB:
https://www.projectf.de/sondb.zip

SoN Quests:
https://www.projectf.de/quests.tar

enjoy it

Never played there, can you describe what all you got in the package ?
are they custom quest that overwrite the origianl ones or is it new npc Quests ?

If you want to run and play on an SoN Clone you should get the custom stuff while you can.

http://freewebs.com/swish06/patcher.html

Looking through the sql dump it seems that it is the complete database !with! all characters. So someone could resurrect SoN with its complete population. That would teach that <beep> <beep> <beeeeep> Swish a lesson.

swish made a complete customized server .. quests + db has a lot of changes u should get the patch eq4me mentioned too this way it will be easier to figure out what is changed and how he did it ..

could someone please put those files somewhere other than rapidshare? it keeps giving me an invalid session (I have a firewall that I cant change here which is prolly the cause... )

give me access to those patch files and I will gladly host em on my server (http://x3-systems.com) (I've been to busy to develop the site for its primary purpose, so I dont mind hosting files)

Would you mind hosting the patches for a limited time too? It is a pain to get them from rapidshare and Swish might disable/delete the SoN Site anytime.

I would not recomend hosting anything till you get a better connection.
took me 25 mins to view your webpage.
btw, whatever happened to the AC project?

sorry had to leave real fast yesterday...

that server isnt slow, its the mainsite programming, there are some codeflaws in it that grind the load to nearly a halt... I havent gotten around to fixing it because the company I was going to resale hosting with hasnt been very cooperative and well.. I just dont wish to pursue the site at this time (addicted to Evercrack I guess)

but if you check the downloads you will see they run nice and fast.

All the players that were released with the scripts were imported into my database as well as the quests and new zone updates.
if you want to play them, there there for a while if not they get deleted in 2 weeks.
this makes the 14th Server to be ingested into my Database.

I downloaded the sql stuff, I just cant go to where you have the patchkits (due to where I connect from... any chance you can make those patchkits available elsewhere? like filefactory or something?

Has a decent download speed on it , and it's free so I guess beggers can't be choosers.

SoN DB.zip (http://fullsize.file.sc/181663/K4WXfMEF/son+files+updated.zip)

I was able to get everything except the Expansion Pack. If anyone has it , I'd be more then happy to add it into the zip. Enjoy.

(Edited - Added Spells to Zip. )

There's a future possibility I may host the databases for the long term, as my server (for DL only) is permanent as long as I have DSL

Packrat time:

quests.tar (http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=68a8f06f73607714a9b2ab9c80a4c563)

and

sondb.zip (http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=1b7260970c810e86f27a25ec04307824)

Let me know if that site is ok to pull from bandwidth-wise, as it is the first time i have used them. You have 45 days of inactivity before they are removed, so grab them quick.

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that still has the files from the Scars of Nalgora? I would like to try to set a server back up using this database.

Thanks,
Katlike

You are awesome, I thought I wasn't going to be able to get these files seeing how it had been awhile since the server was dropped.

Thanks,

I think it was 0.7.0 or just around when the earliest 0.7 was created, or about 3 years ago. you can use it, but it requires manual work to source in tables that are long since changed. It would be best to do this via c++ or .net code rather than by hand, but I recon 1 weeks work.

I use the items table mostly and the toons from it for my item editor, but I have modified it to work with that database
