View Full Version : an important question about BANE flag on NPCs

My question to devs about "immune to non bane" flag to which NPC can be set to.

From what I believe this flag sets "bane" for body type only: like animal, undead, seru, etc.
However there is also another "bane" , such as racial bane. Does this flag take that into account? (I belive that it does not, since then a mob would have to pass both check, for his race and his body type)

Could you please add a flag that would reflect on race bane weapons please?
It would be tremedosly valuable to custom world building.

Immune to non-bane simply means that, the NPC can only be damaged by weapons with a bane component. Race, bodytype, etc isn't a factor, as you could set this flag on a level 1 a_rodent and it will only be damaged by bane weapons.

I think what you may mean are the bonuses, bane vs race. I am not sure if they are working correctly or not but they very well might be.

ok just trying to see if I got this right

if i have a level 1 rat (which is an animal) and set it to "bane only" flag
either of the bane weapons will work - the one with "animal bane" or the one with a "Rat race" bane?

if it does it is perfect =)

I do to hope that racial bonuses are working =)
Would be ncie to know for sure =)

Oh yeah I hope that "bane vs undead" or "bane vs gnolls" will not work vs say Seru just cuase its any bane =)
