Don't get the 2.2ghz computer, get an alien ware area 51, they are coming with 2.53ghz now :) The best gaming machines money can buy: www.alienware.com
You can even customize it, here is the price I came up with if I added the best equip you can get: $13,390.00

Here is the Area51:
Dragon Full-Tower Case (340-Watt PS) (Space Black)
Intel

That nowhere near the best equipment you can get... Especially at that insane price..

The drives only an 80gig, and it's not SCSI. For 14k it should be
a SCSI rack with RAID, and I'd expect alot more than 80gig..

You can easily do a dual processor for that price, I'd go with dual Xeon 2.2's before going with a single 2.5.

Creative Inspire 5300's are decent, but for that price this thing should have a 500W Klipsch system...

Only 512 Meg? 1-2 Gig at least...

The CD writer and DVD should be SCSI too.

I'd say that anyone who bought that system would immediately lose 10,000 bucks...

DOH, that system I have up is not the 14k one! That price is at the bottom, hehe, here is price for that computer: $2816.00. Just start reading more i guess, lol. The 14k was the one that i customized which had 2gig memory, 200gig hard drive, etc...some nice stuff

Oh, didn't notice the price at the bottom... That did seem like the craziest thing I'd ever heard...

Thats not too bad then..

:-)

Actually, alienware does make nice machines, I'll agree with that..
I played with one in Best Buy the other day, I was pretty impressed at home well it seemed to perform.

On to the actual topic.
I don't know the story there, but I do think that there is something wrong with a father having to shell out 20k of back child support and it ending up in a kid's hands, instead of being used by the mother to support the childs needs, not wants. Unless your pop has some dough saved up, he's more likely going to end up in prison than being able to shell out 20k to fuel your computer gaming. If your mom has one ounce of smarts, she'll not give you a penny and put it in a trust to help you out with college.

Just put your fortune in the bank, Chocobo... You don't want your life to be a lot of "Wasn't it great when I had money to spend?". With 5,000,000 in the bank, you could live off interest and never work. It's getting the 5,000,000 in the bank that messes people up. Consider that life doesn't end at 20, and your 98 Mustang will seem like a Nova when you're 50. But 5,000,000 in property like what Jon's getting... That's going to be a nest egg for life (unless he's extremely careless). Think about it before you spend a hefty chunk. Good luck collecting it, too.

But responsibility could turn your $19,000 into a house, and that's the first step in making a fortune in property. In my situation, I'm trying to build an empire like the one that Jon will be receiving, but I have no cash to lay down. No amount of brilliant schemes will get me $19,000 in the bank in a short period of time. Having EQ run fast for the next 2 years will seem like a great deal until you have to spend 60 hours a week paying bills, and EQ goes down the tubes. And depreciation (loss of value on property over time) is a bi***. Just be careful. My brother does with his money what you are proposing to do, and he gave up on computer technology to strive to be a manager of a waffle house with a nice car and a kickass computer. Making phat money doesn't mean jack if you just spend it all. But help the economy if you must! :) I, for one, won't mind harvesting the available money for myself.
