when I export my scene to a .3DS file and try opening it in 3ds max it says..

"improper file format"

im using 3ds max studio 2009.. same thing happened with 3ds max studio 9..

tried with OZ versions 7.9, 8.2 and 8.3..

shrug :(

This has been true for a long time. You can import it with anim8tor, then export it and it will *probably* work.
