Bot spells

Using the latest CVS of the Database and Linux binaries I am finding some problems on my server with the new BOT system. I was on the old bot system and everything was manageable, we had gotten used to the quirks.

When I create a group and they finish buffing there is only a few spells cast on the group, where with the old BOT system it was rather complete. I checked the BOTS were at 100 percent mana, the chanter finally cast Quellious after about 5 minutes but the Cleric never cast anything for HP. With a full group of players and me a second magician.

There are 7 buffs on me. One other thing I noticed was that the #bot gate command seems to be missing POT porting. Oh, and I am level 65.

you sure the druid hp buff isnt on you if it is the cleric wont cast his hp buff

Hrm I play a cleric so I never seen an issue. Guess I'll see if I get the same issue with another class.

Regarding Bot buffs ... has anyone else had a problem where the Enchie bot is no longer casting KEI on anyone? I've had this problem for a few revisions up to 1052 ...

Yeah definitely noticing the whole clarity line of spells aren't being casted.

Spawned my enchie bot grouped with my 65 druid character.
1st buff - Night's Dark Terror
2nd buff - Bulwark of Alendar

then nothing ... waited 20 minutes
despawned bot .. removed buffs ... respawned bot again
same results

Regarding Bot buffs ... has anyone else had a problem where the Enchie bot is no longer casting KEI on anyone? I've had this problem for a few revisions up to 1052 ...

This is what I've noticed with group buffs such as KEI (and the cleric buff: Ancient Gift of Aegolism, for that matter). If you die with that buff on you and the bot did not die before you, the bot will not recast that buff until it wears off on them. Basically, in order to keep the buff on you and have the bot refresh the buff when it wears off, the bot needs to be up all the time. If you only summon the bot to buff you then camp the bot out, the next time you summon for buffs, the bot will not refresh your group buff because theirs is still active.

To get around things like this on my server, I tweaked the level ranges of the buffs so that the single target buff overlaps the group buff version. Doing this allows the bot to cast the single target version on you if they have the group buff version active on them.

It's a little tedious to go through and doctor up the spell lists for you bots, but with the recent changes to the bot AI, it makes them even better.
