I am working on these to get them updated with the latest binary compatibility. So far progress has been made with the item editor, which is 2/3 done. This is quite a major recoding, but is going well.

I expect eqitems, item editor to be ready late this week.

The remaining tools will be tackled next..

Sounds great, thanks.

Been using the old versions but they are getting little funky.

Good news - EQITEMS has been updated and works using Akka's repack. I based the compatibility off this version. A video is being made to demonstrate features. Look for it soon on youtube.

Thanks for this George.

I may be missing it, but can not find the download link for the new version on your site.

Looks like the css is a little funky in a few places.

Also should mention the other major tools should now be compatible with Akka's repack.
NPC&Loot editor and eqitems, even diablo loot has been fixed. A few others were ok.

Would you consider updating your npc editor to include the new fields in npc_types?

It is rather out of date at this point.

Ahh, I think I know what you mean,
Yes, I can add the latest ones in. If you have any you really need, just send me a field list

So decided to give these a try and can't get them to work. db.ini is correct, all *.ocx registered successfully, and ODBC installed, but I still get connection errors trying to load eqitems.exe or npc_loot_edit.exe.

Server is external if it matters.

Can connect fine with Navicat, EOC, Remote Desktop, etc.

George, my personal thanks for keeping your tools up. I know they helped me a lot and many I know throughout the many years. :-D

I second what Akkadius said above.

I haven't been very active around here in the past year or so. I was just thinking today that I need to get the latest copy of GeorgeS' tools so I can maybe get back into working on my server some more. Still, he never ceases to amaze me with his devotion to the community and supplying an excellent tool set that is regularly kept up with the source. Without GeorgeS' tools, I probably never would have been able to start my own server and get into everything that came along with it.

I'm not sure about the external DB working. I remember somewhere someone posting about it and not sureif they got it working. RD (remote desktop) is what I would try

The NPC&looteditor has the extra fields added, and this version is live.

Trevious, thanks for the kind words. I'm always around, sometimes just lurking.

Where does one actually obtain the current version of the tools?

According to this site: http://www.georgestools.chrsschb.com/ the tools were updated 10/7/2014
http://cyberdeck.org/images/georges_link.jpg

However, when opening the file downloaded from that link, you get a version from 10/2/2012
http://cyberdeck.org/images/inside_the_rar.jpg
This version doesn't support Drakkin as a player race, for example.

What is a valid link for the newer versions?
