:?:

i follow the directions listed here to the T - http://www.everquestserver.com/pcItems.htm

downloaded and installed Wincap, and downloaded the packetcollect as well.. logged into EQ, windowed out, started my packetcollector as follows:

e:\program files\eqemu\pcollector packetcollector.exe 192.168.1.101

then it gives me:

sniffin on '\Device\NPF_{08A655B2-F845-4CA2-A040-6582AEB4B9D2}', net=0.1.168.192, target=192.168.1.101 (192.168.1.101)

i run EQ for approx 2 hours, grouping in PoValor, getting all my buddies to shoot me links of their gear and opening them up to view them.. i zone out to PoT and camp out.. then i go back to my dos prompt and hit ctrl + c as directed and i get as follows:

Got signal: 2
Using database 'eq' at items.eqemulator.net, User: items, Password: Yes
Uploading items to table: 'items_dump'
Getting column names..
0 items added, 0 updated, 0 unchanged;
Uploading texts to table: 'texts_dump'
0 texts added, 0 updated, 0 unchanged.

i'm running Win XP Pro, fully patched from Windows update as of today. running through a router as well, but when running the packcollector.exe file i'm using the IP address that is currently assigned to my Network Card.

am i missing anything?? thanks..

if you have more than 1 device you will need to specify which one your connection is being run on with the -d option. PC will tell you when it has found an everquest connection. If it doesnt find one after a few seconds then its listening on the wrong ip/device.

Yes it sounds like an FAQ thread needs to be started for all these repeat questions, or at least an RTFM post.

a couple of the fields have changed in the code, so right now the code on the public cvs is a little behind the latest db. The new code should be on cvs by this weekend that will fix the problems with the item db.
