Issues with a creating a bot
 

I just got my sever all hooked up and when I try to do a bot command in the game like ^botcreate Zippy 2 8 M. It gives me a message that Zippy is an invalid name, and no matter what name I use I get the same type of error. Basically I can't create any bot because of this.. can someone please help???

Try using ^botcreate Zippy 2 8 0 (0 for male, 1 for female)

I looked over the command code as well as the naming code and did not see anything that would (should) fail that name.

If it is still occurring after using the above command, can you post the exact message that's being given?

Using the client log is probably the easiest method.

I am getting this same error when using ^botcreate Zippy 2 8 0

It seems to be random but is not fixed until the server is rebooted

There was an issue once, that actually required you to use a capital letter upon initial
creation of the bot, or it would show "invalid name". (Zippy vs zippy) I don't know if
that was dealt with in the bot code since then ? haha
I'm no expert on bots, but I do know there is a ruletype Bots:AllowCamelCaseNames
