New server by Maze
 
Too lazy to make a poll.

Let me know if I should create another server in a reply.

Leave a short explanation as to why you selected your choice.



1. 100% Custom Progression.

2. Stat Scale/True Random Loot/Grind

3. 100% Classic-Nagafen's Lairesque type.

4. DON'T EVER MAKE ANOTHER SERVER.

Uhh I'm 50/50 1 and 3 a mixed server of both.

Custom progression has always been one of my favorites as long as I'm not required to box more then maybe 6 I'm lazy. Seeing what ideas people come up with and how they are shaped has always be really neat.

3. Well I like classical feel as well not bare bones type where I gotta spend 12 hrs at a spawn or something stupid like that. But having to run to and from or boats and ports are actually needed I feel helps keep people from blowing trough content and makes them feel like they worked for that faded brown tunic.

Iv always wondered what you can do maze show us what's up! If I had to pick one then no.1 for me

I am amazed how you guys just randomly decide - "I will go and put up a server. Will be ready in 1-3 days". =P
And here I am spent 2 years just brainstorming how everything should work to look nice =P

Hey Maze,

What's old is made new // completed ;)

Take the original Giants Vs. Dragons conflict which was never finished, and remake things like Veeshans Peak etc... to be part of the extreme high end. Not original, but taking some of the original intent / flavor and thoroughly remaking it. Later on they brought in quite a bit more Giant zones... just need to fix up a some additional dragon / dragon kin.

Add in mining like shards has for a much better trade skill system that scales into the very highest raid content zones.

Add in full on deity differences in the classes. Does it make sense that a Dark Elf Cleric of Innoruuk would cast all of the same exact spells a High Elf of Tunare would? **Pure // **Agenda // **Battle ...;) Be pretty cool to give one type of cleric Call of the Hero......hahahaha.

If you're using Akka's diablo loot you should just add some code in to make it only add item ID > 150,000 or something to loot tables and just mass create items with scripts. Much more controlled.

I was very surprised. Thank you again. I've been playing around with it seeing what I have to adjust on my server, etc and already having a lot of fun. This change really flows well with what I have going so far.. especially since I've kept stats to a minimum.

I pulled the latest source and added those changes. Also changed the 2hb animation to use the old piercing one instead of the overhead slash.. just ruins my immersion.

RelWithDebInfo no bots windows32 compiled version can be downloaded here.

Splose: I rewrote the critical system along with changing GetInt with maxint. That was the "rewrite"

A server like that server a couple years ago "Project Kimura" which was like random loot grinding was great.. although I do like bots.. I used to like boxing (used to 6 box) but too much of a hassle to setup up IS Boxer again so at least 1 bot would be great.. 2 is probably the best # of bots but is more tedious so 1 would be ideal

pretty cool so far maze, pets wont summon though on BL and spell mod seems you need to be within a few levels of that spell then it drops off

KPEMU was essentially nagafens lair rebranded.

And about the spell issues, I know what the problem is, I just haven't been near a pc this weekend to fix anything.

Would be nice to see some type of damage augments that can fit into epic weapons. that way they can progress with you.

little things im finding now that im 50.

not sure if you can but hit/miss ratio could be changed maxed skills almost an i miss so much compared to the mob.

mobs fleeing and high resist dont think mobs ignore level restrictions or stats off gear they have so if they have something with alot of hp and running it turns out really bad.

cant seem to find bags anywhere in POK only the 25lb bags in baz weight is still on this is w/e for me with the str but monks are crying.

stun/push seems OP pita to get a spell off

just some things iv have found no rush i know its new! just trowing those out :)
