Making own privat server

Hi all,

I qould like to make my own server, just for myself.

I want to explore the world of this game, quest and just mess around a bit.
Is this possible and if so, what would i need to do, is there a tutorial or so?

There is a project of World of Warcraft that brings also in bots to kind of "simulate" players. Is there something similar for EQ?

Thanks in advance.

I looked around in the wide web to find a turorial for bloody noobs. However, i found nothing...

I only discovered the "installer" but this one does also not work...

Choose your path depending on the os you're using.

I thought I would check in and see how you made out. Over the years I have installed and managed many deployments of the emulator and when I first started I would install it on a laptop and set it up entirely local and even play it on that laptop. It was great being able to do that, but ultimately I always ended up back to the public login server. Sooner or later you will want to invite a friend, or just enjoy connecting to it from anywhere. It also sounds like you're new to this, and a generic setup with the public login server will be way easier for you to test the waters.

Good luck!

GL.. the installer for windows is great installs everything u need to get up and running.

Post install, heidl database is good to make the tweaks u need.. as in make your account GM status, adjust xp, #zone teleport, tune mobs/pets etc. There's EOC tools (chk the wiki) that you can connect to to make it more user friendly.

if u get stuck search the forums.. likely someone has an answer for u. if not post..

enjoy!
