Is there a eq2 emu anymore ?

I think there was one called norrath reborn? I found the actual eq2emu site like this one but can't find any servers listed did the whole operation get shut down?

no one been working on eq2 emu for a while - there was like 1 dev for 5 years and he couldn't get any more help, so he eventually gave up (I think)

I can assure you eq2emulator is well and active.

They are looking for additional staff but they are far from "no one been working on eq2 emu for awhile".

Big gains on cpu usage and combat stability in the last 30 days.

eq2emu even has a discord channel

Have a great day and eq on!

Thanks for the links bro. How's the community doing lately? Is it worth getting into?

Thank you for your question. We are just a bunch of Board Mashers and fans of Eq2 grasping for a shot to recreate servers in the aspect of the "FAN".

I want to add that all the eq2emulator is very important to our success but I'll highlight some of our community below.

The "coding community" is small and goal oriented. Perhaps only about a dozen coders actively working behind the scenes on the back-end. The front end needs a bit of help/work as far as quest generation/scripts before its considered playable for the average gamer. Most all of these coders can be reached via discord chat or the forums.

The "support community" is very supportive and slowly growing. These are the people or hardcore fans that can log in and complete tests with our coders and server admins. The SC varies in size from month to month. These people are the folks we go to to discover how an aspect of Eq2 was/worked during different expansions of Eq2 *Great people in this emulator project.

As far as getting involved in the project is just depends on how much of a fan you are , your willingness to help, and % of coddling/support you need. We just don't have the staff to dedicate to support as we are in the developing process. Best we can offer is a post in discord or on forums and time.
I am a bit bias but I would say its worth it to a person that wants to grow with a project from the beginning.

The "gaming community" for this project is few and far between as we are just not that close to being something people want to play. Although we've had big successes in combat, mechanics and spell mitigation we still don't have some of the big things gamers need like a vast quest catalog the average eq2 player has come accustomed.

Currently the servers that are up and running is " Eq2emulator" "StitchPVP" and "Perseverance". "Norrath Reborn" has went down for a programming overhaul and server change. NR should be back in around late November or early December.

Eq2emulator , Stitch and Perseverance can be logged into using the live client from Eq2 which is huge for us for getting the client to people. Norrath Reborn will always only be available to those with DOV or COE client just because all the coding is custom.

Management: Recently we promoted a developer to the project manager and we expect that this will throw some fresh air into the project and blast apart some of our hurdles. We also gained some shit hot programmers so we will be looking for some steam from them.

I hope this answers some of your questions and are excited about our future!
