SOW bug, need to zone to get effect
 

When I cast Spirit of Wolf on myself I don't get any run speed enhancement until I zone. After I zone then the speed works but if I cancel the spell effect and recast SOW I have no enhanced speed again until I zone again. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think this is because I messed up my spell in the database because it works it just takes a zoning to take effect.

K thanks, bizzare. I made a new char, leveled him and got sow, works fine. Went back on my other char and re-scribed the spell and still broken. Any idea why a character can be bugged? Going to put cheetah and wolf form on my new char and see if it bugs out.

Old charecter is definitely bugged, my new char casts sow 36 min timer all is well. On the old char cast sow starts with 36 min timer then jumps up to 41:15 and starts counting down there and doesn't give run speed boost until I zone. Any idea whats happening? Do characters ever get bugged over time?

Figured it out, was the Extended Enchantment 1 from my lockjaw hide vest. Sad. Any idea how to fix this?

How should I update? Running a few month old server used akka's installer.

Use Akka's installer to, ya know....update?

Turn off MacroQuest if you're using it.

Thanks for the help but no not using MQ. Other speed buffs like spirit of cheetah and wolf form work just not sow when wearing lockjawhide vest.
