Build Process not completing

Environment: (this is just for testing / figuring things out, not for production)

Running on Virtual Box (bridged networking)
Guest VM config. 30 GB storage, 2vcpu, 10GB RAM
OS: CentOS 9 stream

I am using the deployment script (slightly modified for packages etc under CentOS 9).

It appears although the process completes it doesn't actually work and I see a few things, this first one, I suspect is not an issue, based on the notes or is it possibly the cause of the next issue I'll list?

Code:

CMake Warning (dev) at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:438 (message):
The package name passed to `find_package_handle_standard_args` (PkgConfig)
does not match the name of the calling package (Sodium).  This can lead to
problems in calling code that expects `find_package` result variables
  (e.g., `_FOUND`) to follow a certain pattern.
Call Stack (most recent call first):

  cmake/FindSodium.cmake:2 (include)

It seems like not everything gets built which is why the server won't start. It doesn't error out, but it only gets to 24% then moves on...

Double check in your home/eqemu/server_build/bin/ to see if there are any binaries in there at all. (zone, world, etc.) If not, then it's fair to assume, the compile was not successful.

I've always used Debian, so not sure what you had to prep with centos for the install. compiles in Debian usually go pretty smooth.

Nope, I know it's an issue compiling, just trying to figure it out. There are a few reasons I want to stick with CentOS 9 for this. I just tried doing a more manual approach, and after the boost errors (in my original post above) which I'm not sure if they are relevant, I get this error which seems to be the real issue unless it's triggered by boost?

I gave up. I had a number of reasons for using CentOS, but I simply could not get the compile to work. I moved to Debian and everything went smoothly.

Regards,

Zar.
