Trying to use EQITEMS with current Akka's server
 

HI all /wave

I'm attempting to use eqitems with the current Akka's server setup.

I can get it up and running, check out / edit items etc.

BUT, I cannt get it to load a character in to modify the characters inventory.

I click the load character button and it brings up the window were I would select the character to edit, but the table / select is totally empty.

No characters to select.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be very greatful.

I'm not sure if this tool was ever modified by GeorgeS to use the new un-BLOB'ed fields or not. I suspect not.

To my knowledge no one has heard from GeorgeS (hopefully he is ok), but, as much as we liked his tools, we should consider them obselete (doing so now may allow one to get over the sting). EOC and PEQ are the tools to use, if you want to ensure they're up to the task no matter what DB schema changes may happen.

That is very sad news though, ive been using that tool for a couple of years with the AXClassic repack ... drat.

Do you know of or can recommend another character editor for inventory etc?

I checked out EOC but didn't see a character editor option ( They do have a decent item editor, still like eqitems a little better ROFL ).
