#traindisc doesn't appear to work

I am trying to use the #traindisc GM command, but it seems like it is only attempting to use it to train discs on the GM character.

I targeted a rogue and issued #traindisc 60
The output was "Successfully trained 1 disciplines".

I am not sure what it trained, but the rogue has no discs. Targeting other players results in, "You already know this discipline. No disciplines trained".

I've googled and searched this forum to no avail. There anything I'm doing wrong here?

Also, on an unrelated note, is there a quick and dirty way to copy one player's purchased AAs over to another. I've created 10 characters that are all the same class and gave them a ridiculous amount of AA to spend, but I have to load up each toon individually and purchase every AA. Was wondering if there is a way to copy this from one character to another.

Thanks.

You trained the disc with id of 60 on him it looks like.

usage says to issue #traindisc <level>
then goes on to give an example: #traindisc 70

Update: Got this figured out. The #help usage for #traindisc is wrong.

#help showed that usage for #scribespells is:

#scribespell [max level] [min level]

I tried exactly the same thing with #traindisc and it worked like a charm.

For whoever might be interested in correcting that. #help usage shows

#traindisc [level]

which is incorrect, or at the very least, incomplete.

All that said, thanks a bunch for everything this community contributes.

It is max and min. But if you don't put a min, it defaults to 1. So #traindisc 60 is the same as #traindisc 60 1.

That's definitely not what it is doing. At least not on my server. When I issued '#traindisc 60', it taught the GM 1 disc and my target 0 discs. The GM was a cleric too, so I have no idea what disc it taught him. Reissuing that command to new targets would result in "You already know this discipline. No disciplines trained".

Specifying a max and min taught the target all discs in the intended range.

Given your other issues on different threads, have you verified those AAs after relogging that particular character?

(Maybe the client isn't getting updated properly?)

I don't remember if they ever relogged. The server has been restarted a few times since then and I just updated the binaries a little while ago at Akkadius' recommendation.

I needed to create a 2nd warrior anyway and #traindisc 60 worked just fine without specifying a min level. I have 10 rogues and that usage did not work at all prior to the update. I attempted it on all 10 and it was used exactly as I used it with the new warrior.

At this point, it could have been any of a dozen possible reasons.
