No sound or particles after editing a spell

Everything working perfectly, then I make one slight change to any spell, and now all spells on all characters make no sound and no visual effects. Any ideas?

Backup your spell_us.txt file then use ultraedit (or some other editor, not notepad) then delete all entries past 43000.

Genius thank you!!! What were those entries? They are a mistake with the spells file exporter?

Lol.. i have no idea, it's just something I have to do on one of the servers I play on. Every time they update the spell file they never clean them out.

Also, btw. Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) or Judus Priest?

No. See https://github.com/EQEmu/Server/wiki...ID-Limitations

Anything above those limits causes the client to not load sound/particles for the spells.

I went one step further. I deleted all spells above 43,000 from my database. They are likely from more recent expansions so if the client can't support them anyway, I'm pretty sure I don't need them. So far, I've seen nothing to convince me otherwise. If I ever need them again, I can always restore them. But this way, I don't have to remember to edit the file every time I run an export.

Thanks guys, making custom spells and classes fun can start now! :D And yeah, Peter Green :)
