Incorrect String Files - ROF2

Hi all,

Built a new linux server, mostly working fine.. client I'm using the ROF2 client download from the google drive link.. but seems I have the wrong string files perhaps?

I transferred from live install:
* spells_us.txt
* spells_us_str.txt
* dbstr_us.txt

Issues manifest such as:
* the logout button 'thanks for contacting me, %3' (which is from eqstr_us.txt)
* fizzle a spell and it states 'Your %1 spell fizzles'
* server status says 'task stage completed' instead of UP
* dialog boxes have titles like 'Other Chat\|ChannelMap0=0'

Also getting the odd crash, like just targeting a mob in crescent reach.. hoping this will also sort that out.

Any help appreciated.. not sure what version of these string files I need to use with ROF2.

Cheers.

I would make sure the server and the client have the same files to start with
Miss-matching files will give all sorts of weird results

So I would either export the files from your server and copy to the client - best option
or import the files into your server

Then see what happens and go from there

Thanks Scorpius, I wasn't aware of the export client files script, very handy.
Unfortunately when I use that to export, the client hangs on loading.. will play around some more, and perhaps try the import technique as well.

Just trying to get it 100% before I actual put effort into the other aspects ;)

Only thing I can think, make a export folder in the server folder if not there, may hang if script doesn’t see it

same for import, put files in there so script can find

did the issues crop up after copying from live?
