This kicks ASS! Thank you!!
Regards, SI |
Excellent, this will help me with the live quests I am working on.
|
I know this is an old sticky, but I just found it when I was searching for a command to use in one of my quests. This has got to be one of the most useful things I've run across on here. If your still around Mwmdragon. Thank you.
|
Yes this is very usefull :)
If you search in future more usefull tools Keep an eye on : http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=Linkit |
Thanks so much. This helps me tremendously.
|
thanks
Thanks,
I'm glad this has helped you with your quest writing. I wanted to make sure everyone who wanted to, had access to the commands in an easy to understand format, that way there was more people working on quests. I don't have a 7.0 server running yet due to lack of time but I'm sure I get one up soon and then I can update this to reflect and chages since first writing the lexicon. |
Excellent work!
I may try writing a few quests now that this is available. Just gave it a read through, and it does not look too hard. GeorgeS |
It's my "bible" also - still use it all the time.

Since the original link is broken, here it is again, hosted by me... http://stash.buttwrenching.com/EQEmuQuestLexicon.pdf

Dude? "Buttwrenching"?
I don't think I wanna know. |
I am the founder of an established punk rock band in another life.
It's called "Butt Trumpet". Plus, I just think it's funny. |
Butt Trumpet is even funnier.
/off topic: And I love Punk. =) |

This guide is a great help, but could use a couple more sections. Could you add the $npc-> and $client-> commands sections to this guide please?
|
.
The origional Link works fine, my server must have had a hickup when you tried downloading it.
If you send me the missing commands information i can try to add them to my Lexicon ;) I want to get back into EQEmu but I have to get some friends that still play ;) |
Link Update
Can an admin please edit this post to have the correct URL to the Lexicon ;)
I decided to clean up my web server so now its at a new link. http://mwmdragon.homeip.net/EQEmu_Fi...estLexicon.pdf Thanks |
Has anyone got an updated link to this .pdf? Currently using the Wiki but I did like the layout in the .pdf if it's still floating about somewhere.

I was trying to create a quest that only players at level cap could do. The issue is i know how to check a players level but i dont know how to set a level requirement on the quest. I looked through the lexicon and didnt find anything that mentioned setting a level requirement. Im new to perl so perhaps i am missing something but i am not sure what. If anyone could explain a bit it would be greatly appreciated.
|
Code:
if ($ulevel >= ##) { |
where the ## is would that be the level you wish to require?

1. Use the existing quests (Perl scripts) as templates to both learn from and start basic scripts of your own. 2. Read up on some Perl material (c0ncrete just recently made a post with an excellent site referenced with extremely useful Perl books in PDF -- I'd link though I'm not on the machine I bookmarked it on at the moment). |
Thanks much for the help. If you find the links please post them that would be greatly appreciated because im always looking to learn something new
