WTB Server
 

Not sure where to post this, but does anyone have a server for sale with eq installed. I'm wanting to learn more about this and am starting school to get my degree in Information Systems. But I'd like to buy a ready to go server and kind f go backwards on the learning process. That and I don't have a lot of time w/school and work to do it myself. I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars, just something that will handle only me and maybe a few friends of mine. Thanks

I think we could work something out. I bet for $600 or so we could have something up and running pretty fast... send me a PM.

Keep in mind you can run a server on a pretty lean box. You could run a virtual linux server on your desktop and compile it easily enough yourself, or use a precompiled one on a windows box.

For someone with basic programming and sql knowledge is it a doable task?

Dude I was running a basic eqemu server when I was in middle school.

There's a sample database with preconfigured server files all ready to go on my site.
Your can DL that and set up something from that
