Game crashes on startup

I reinstalled the game twice and completely removed everything each time. When i run the game it blinks black and crashes. I downloaded the latest driver version, run on compatibility mode, set game res to 840X600, turned off all options. Im on windows XP, i was playing on the SoD server but switched to this one so the game should work. Any help?

Sod server is diffent then what is used here they give you files to patch with . make two diffent install directorys one for Sod and another directory for here. here you need to use default install and change the eqhost.txt file to match the server and first set rez to 800x600 turn on all options. then after in game you can change the rez to your setting you enjoy using.

It wont work.
Lore: Wiz,the original owner of SoD, made his own version of EQEmu and has contributed allot in the EQEmu source(just check the comments). Just for starters the file used to connect to the login server has a different format, not to mention the entire files that get patched when you log into SoD.

For your second question. Is your problem technical or your afraid of logging in with same IPs?
If its not the IPs. What exactly is the error your getting?
Details on your installation/configuration would help too.
