Live patching is exactly that. you patch up to the current files Sony are using at this very moment. which is of course not emu compatable. so dont do it :P

Heya... having a bit of trouble getting my serialise items.pl to work... have followed the instructions found in the tutorial.. but stumbled :

upon typing 'install dbd'
it says

shouldnt make a difference if download the one from EQ or install the one from your old cd's as either way, by patching to live will overwrite all of the essential files.

At the moment im in the process of updating the...

At the moment im in the process of updating the server so its as stable as it can be. I'm using the PEQ Database, which atm is unpopulated from Luclin upwards... so im painstakingly manually...

Strange Occurance...

Hi folks. i got a stupid problem.

My server is up and works ok... and been tweeking many things. I.e. Fixing Quests etc.

First off i loaded on the GM Portal thingy, and that all seems to work...

I think i fixed it lol... my loginserver.ini was a bit messed up, not sure how.

The server now shows up, and even says its up... but now wont let...

No Place Like Home Server is Back up! ..... errr i think

I followed the instructions in the wikki to the last 't' so to speak... and everything seems to work fine... the world.exe...
