This is a great server. If your looking for an alternative to Project1999. This is the place. Classic content, but allows boxing and no hybrid XP penalty's (what puts me off 1999).

Make sure you are not patching. I.e. run eqgame.exe , not everquest.exe. I would recommend using wineq2 and set patch to off in the options.

Sounds like you have vista or win 7 with UAC on. Copy your eqhost.txt file to the Root of C: edit it , save then copy back to your EQ folder, overwriting the file there.
