I am not sure what OS you're running but I had this same issue until I remebered that I had enabled my Windows Firewall. Turing that off allowed for remote clients to connect to my server.

Thanks for the information. I can live with the [very] minor drawbacks. It's been a blast putzing around my old stomping grounds in EQ. Even with Bots, it still has some of the same old feeling :)...
