One clue is that in login.ini, there is an entry for "local network", and iti s definitely not correct (docker creates its own virtual network). What is the significance of "local network" here?

You can't run eqemu without some kind of login...

You can't run eqemu without some kind of login server. But you can run the login server on the same computer as eqemu. Just run them in parallel. That is what I do.

I don't know how to make the old Minilogin work, but switching to "New MiniLogin" solved my problem (mentioned above somewhere). it's a slightly different configuration though. Uses a new mysql...

minilogin gives bad output on eqemu connect

I just set up a linux eqemu server, with the latest SVN of eqemu and the latest CVS of peq. i am running minilogin through wine.

the eqemu server loads up fine, with no database errors as far...
