But then a couple paragraphs clarified that may not be the case and there seems to be more than two sides to the story with a third party. I assume you trusted his word.

That whole "time bomb" thing could of simply been said out of anger. I know, sometimes people say things when they are angry, been there, done that myself. It can be hard to get rid of it,sometimes years.
I would of rather just sat down with a one on one (back before it all went down) without any third parties and hashed it all out. To each their own.
