Back on topic sort of: Check your main directory in your client for a GlobalLoad.txt and/or GlobalLoad_chr.txt - if either of those files are there, that is most likely the cause of your zone crashing issues. Those files should only be present in your Resources folder.
Seems newer computers are too fast and attempt to read both files thus causing a conflict and the zone crashing. (At least that's my theory)
I found this to be the issue on my machine and since deleting those pesky files it has 99% resolved all my zone crashing issues. (odd ones still happen but that's #emulife)
