I remember when I had first learned about EQ way back when, as someone
explained a bit about the game. Talking about running around all these zones,
the boats, the tradeskills and all the other content when I first started playing.
When EQ was in that state of game mechanics, it became one of the most
popular mmorgs in it's time.
I've always had this attitude, "If it's not broken, don't fix it." Unfortunately,
Sony didn't have that same attitude. I get the whole concept of evolving and
trying to make things better, trying to attract more players, but they obviously
made the wrong choices, as their numbers kept going down.
In my opinion, people don't always stop playing a game because they don't
like it anymore. Many people get bored and take breaks from a game, then
come back later. But when those bored people do come back, in a lot of cases
they expect to come back to the same game. EQ is not EQ anymore.
They should change the name of it to something more appropriate for the
game, like "MMORG Click 'n Go" (chuckle)
I never do get burnt out on this computer. I spend on average about 10-12
hours a day, 6-7 days a week. Been doing that for years now. Myself, I find
that if I am focusing on one thing, my mind is more relaxed and able to keep
going without a thought or upset nerve (chuckle)
I know some people use the phrase "work" when on a computer, but what I
call work is something like carrying 100 lb sacs around all day, 5 days a week.
Sitting on a computer with my fingers going up and down with keystrokes, is
the laziest thing I have done in life.
