I created a whole new toon to test this out ...;
#gm OFF
result: when doing a /who all it doesn't show the gm tag ..., but when doing a /who while in the same zone as the gm, it says *GM* [1 (Warrior)] Testn00b
However, there is no green name on the toon ...
#gm OFF - then zone
