It should work (the red square in the buff window indicates the charm spell) .. though, you need to set the condition so the enchanter can charm a pet.
Targeting the enchanter and typing
^petgetlost won't work since that only releases the current pet and they cast their current pet spell.
Instead, use
^petremove and that will set the mode where they can charm.
