Default Black world

This is really making me mad. I did the HardwareTnL=False thing and my world is still black, people said it should fix it and it didnt, and now i have no idea what to do... its like "hope it works aftermath"....lol

i could really use some help =(

had that happen with a ati card i got a while ago.. returned the card and got a nvidia one....

check the gamma settings..

I have a geforce2 who make that :p
Now with a ati 9250 that work

But check gamma setting is a right idea !

You might also want to try blowing away the eqhardware.ini file in your EQ directory, and then running the optionseditor app.

It's also possible to have this happen if the settings in one of the ls*.ini files (I can't recall which one!) are different to those you have in the main game (is the file defaults.ini?). Force all resolutions to 640x480 in the optionseditor, and reset the resolution to something useful from within the game. Note that this bug is a long term issue in EQ, and seems to be a result of some of the dodgy "optimisations" SOE have done. It's only some cards, with some depths, some settings and some resolutions that surface this bug, which I suspect is due to pogrammers not clearing the GPU status registers properly from assembler.
