Default re-downloading eqhost.txt

I followed the step by step exactly... I changed the eqhost.txt file and changed the shortcut to "patchme" . After running the shortcut, however, the old eqhost.txt file is put back into place and when I click account I am sent to a sony website. One of the guides I read mentioned this problem but did not discuss how to fix it. I would really appriciate some help getting this working.

My email is alexbeckett@wi.rr.com if the solution to this problem cannot be posted on the forums. PLEASE help me out.

Thanks a ton, Ramelian

The new login client is very picky about carriage returns in its eqhost.txt. If you use notepad to edit you'll probly mess the file up, and the new client overwrites the file if it thinks it's messed up.

Your best bet is to just right click this link: http://www.eqemulator.net/eqhost.txt
and Save As to your everquest folder.
