Default ROF2 client with status 0 cannot create characters

Has anyone seen this before? If I login with a status 0 account with the ROF2 client, all the characters are greyed out and have BUY on them. Does ROF2 client require a higher status? I looked around on forums and nothing was very detailed.

Thanks

You must have a custom eqstr_us.txt file from a custom server that changed class names or something.

Nope, I am using default eqstr_us.txt from the ROF2 client. Would it have something to do with Membership level?

Tested other clients and they can create characters with status 0, not ROF2

We have hard-coded values for membership information, so it must be some sort of custom file.

Thanks Kingly. Checked the directory of ROF2 client where it was downloaded from Steam, exact same file dates and data. Have not played on any ROF2 enabled server except for my own...I am going to dig into the eqstr_us and see if I can find anything

Tested a few things. Downloaded from steam again and I can create characters just fine now. Logged into a different server with ROF2 support and created a toon. Logged out of that server and back into my server. Cannot create characters again. Did not download any new files or anything from other server.

What date is your source? Check char_create_combinations.

Ok, after looking at char_create_combinations table in the DB....Expansions are different and start zones, since I have a hub zone, would I need to change the start zones and set the expansion to 0? Just asking...........

As a Gold member, you should have access to all races, no matter the expansion. But yes, you can set the start zone in there and in start_zones.
