Default Race Textures Issue

I found a great texture I am looking to use - It's race 566 and texture 6 (female) or 7 (male). It's a cloaked human using the newer human model.

Unfortunately I cannot get any of the textures to save. Using #texture 6 makes a mashup old school human male appear and then using #gender 1 turns the NPC into the correct model.

The base race model is working fine.

Any ideas on getting this to work?

Thanks!

Have you tried #npcedit gender 1 or whatever the gender value is then respawning the NPC?

Sorry - left out that info: I am using UF client.

Also - Yes meant to mention I have changed the NPC setting using #npcedit and in EOC.

I am going to try to get an updated eqg file for that race today and see if that works. I am guessing the different textures are handled all in that one file.

Edit: To use the model I want, I grabbed an NPC (putrid servant) from another zone that was using the same texture already. Just odd that the race/texture do work but I cannot change them for this particular race in any zone.

I believe I know the issue. Try setting the helmtexture column to the same value as the texture column and let me know if that resolves it.

You're welcome, I've had a similar issue and it is usually either gender, gender and helmtexture, or just helmtexture. I'm glad you got it worked out.

Good to know. I think I've tried to use this texture before and eventually just said f--k it.
