sms verification issue

For some reason my password isn't working on my other 2 accounts so I am trying to reset the password. I set up sms verification and now when I go to reset I get this: SMS Verification completed.

Due to loginserver accounts already existing on this account, a final step of email verification must be completed before the SMS Number can be attached to the account.
If the email attachment process is not accepted or denied within 7 days, the SMS Number will automatically be accepted and become attached.

I did set up sms a couple days ago. Does it really take this long to get applied? I wanted to play my other toons days ago but I can't get into my accounts.
