Default How to join a minilogin server!

Alrighty peeps, here's how it goes.

First, go into your everquest directory, whatever that may be, and find the file 'eqhost.txt'. It should look something like:

[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin2.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin3.eqemu.net:5999"
"eqlogin.eqemu.net:5999"
}

In this case, we're going to replace the eqloginX.eqemu.net with whatever the IP or DNS is of the minilogin server. In this case, we'll use clintsserver.no-ip.org, just as an example. So your eqhost.txt is going to look like this:

[Registration Servers]
{
"clintsserver.no-ip.org:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"clintsserver.no-ip.org:5999"
"clintsserver.no-ip.org:5999"
"clintsserver.no-ip.org:5999"
"clintsserver.no-ip.org:5999"
}

Next, your going to edit your everquest shortcut. On your desktop, right click on your eq shortcut, and where it says target, it should look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe"

make the target look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

You need to do all of this AFTER you have patched with the eqemu patcher.

AS OF 4/13/03 there is NO WAY to update your eq installation to the current eqemu standards. Unless you have PREVIOUSLY updated your out of luck.

Thanks everyone, hope this helped a bit.
