Default Export Client Files

Greetings. After making changes to my server, I needed to run the client files exporter to copy the files to the client. Unfortunately, the Export_client_files binary I was using before appears to have vanished from my system. Assuming that this was the result of an update to the server itself, how am I supposed to export the spell & item information to the clients?

All links to the Git documentation are generating errors. If there is a new place to get the EQEMU documentation, may I have it?

Thanks in advance.

Our new documentation is located here: https://docs.eqemu.io/

If you're having issues with the export application being gone, you can redownload any assets you need using the eqemu_server.pl.

We also have a Discord available here: https://discord.com/invite/aMxfrkFk

The Discord has several support channels for different topics, especially ones relevant to server operation.

Thank you for your help!

I had gone through the server PL menu before, but somehow I overlooked the "utility scripts" option under ASSETS. I ran that, and it appears to have restored the binaries in the BIN directory.

Unfortunately, when I run the "export_client_files" binary, I just get a very brief window popup, much too fast to read, and the system doesn't export the client files (at least they are not in the EXPORT folder). Server is shut down while I do ANY work to it.

Thanks!

The export_client_files.exe must be in a folder that contains the DLLs and eqemu_config.json to run.

I assume it's failing to load your configuration file and immediately crashing due to it.

Also ensure you have a folder called: "export" in the directory.
It needs a place to put the files it generates and the folder is not there by default.

I copied everything from the BIN directory to the eqemu root directory. I don't know why I had to do this when it ran fine before, but that was the fix!

Thank you!
