Default IP issues?

Ok, to refresh, my server is fine for me, but no one else can log in, or if they get in, they crash and can't get back in after zoning a few times.

this is acting like an IP issue, so lets make sure everything is correct...

In my ipconfig
IPv4 Address 192.168.2.2
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
default gateway (which i assume is my router ) 192.168.2.1

Router info
DMZ - is it safe to just set my DMZ to 192.168.2.2 so that all connections are allowed? There isn't sensitive info on this comp, it just hosts the server. Is that right?
Virtual Servers
5998-5999 - forwarded to 192.168.2.2
7000-7500 - forwarded to 192.168.2.2
9000-9100 - forwarded to 192.168.2.2

in the eqemu_config.xml, there is only 1 line referencing an IP
<!-- Only specify these two if you really think you need to. (read: You don't) -->
<!-- <address>some.server.com</address> -->
<!-- <localaddress>192.168.0.5</localaddress> -->

I don't know of anywhere else I need to add or change an IP address in the eqemu files. Any help or further questions is appreciated.

Is there any place in the actual EQConfig or anywhere else that I would need to put my WAN address?

<address>WAN address</address>
<localaddress>Actual machine IP</localaddress>

You'll need to uncomment the lines as well.

Ok, even though I have never used these two lines in the year my server has been going, they now say...
<address>68.169.188.17</address>
<localaddress>192.168.2.2</localaddress>
And it still doesn't work. I can log in fine if i'm AT the server, but I can't log in if I'm on a neighbors computer and no one else can. What next can we try?

You shouldn't have to set those two fields in the .xml config.
Make sure that there are no firewalls blocking connections to the server.

Why are you forwarding 5998-5999? Are you using the main login server or hosting your own?

7000-7500 is a pretty high range to forward and leaves a significant amount of unused ports open. How many zone servers do you plan on running? It's 1 port per zone server after 7000
(the first zone server).

9000-9100 is unnecessary as 9000 is the only port in that range that is used. (World server uses port 9000).

I still think it's an issue with your Dtv. If no other changes are made to something working, the last change is 'usually' the cause of the problem.

I'm still willing to check around and see if there is a known conflict with your isp and these port ranges. (I should be able to get your isp from the WAN ip.)

[Edit:] check this out and read what 'Malor' said in his review about 1/3 of the way down:
