Default Cross Zone Group Invites (broken)

My cross zone group invites have broken, not sure what Rev.

But, you can still type "/invite name" but it says "you must target or use /invite <name>..."

But still doesn't work.

Was this a change to the EMU since the SoD uses different opcodes? If so, is there a way I can change this back to titanium(or make it also work with either?)

It looks like Derision purposely reverted the change that had allowed this in changeset 1227 (http://code.google.com/p/projecteqem.../detail?r=1227) but there's no note in the changelog as to why it was reverted.

There were reports on the PEQ forums of (more) group problems (than usual) after I put this in, which is why I reverted it.

It is too bad too, cause the cross zone invites were really cool other than for the issues they caused.

I would seriously rather see work put into raids working better IMO.

Raids lose their leader all the time so have to be reformed.

Can't cast lots of various spells on people who are in a raid like Shrinks, CoH, Spirit of Jaguar(I think), etc.

Raid leadership abilities are borked and randomly work and don't work.

Raid shared XP sharing doesn't work reliably where some groups get XP and others don't.

Hmmm... Maybe once the forums are back and I can read up on the symptoms I can take a stab at figuring out why it was causing issues. No guarantees though, as my son decided to pop a couple weeks before his scheduled spawn time.

On live you couldn't cast group only spells like shrink on non-grouped raid members either, so those spells may be working as intended.

You can't cast them on group members once in a raid. But yes, basically, any group only spells don't work on others in your group once your group is in a raid. But I'm pretty sure there were more than just group only spells that no longer worked, but group only spells for sure have a problem once you're in a raid.

I just saw the title of this thread and wanted to say that I am all for cross-zone group invites. I think it would be a good addition to the PEQ server.
