Default *BETA* EQ Login Server

Hey,

As some of you may know, I developed a new EQ login server from scratch in PHP.

Well, I decided to release it to the public mainly for the linux EQEmu users out there that had to use wine to run a loginserver on their box.

As it says in the topic, this is a Beta at best... there is a client crash after the serverlist packet is sent, but that's just a simple fix (i think)

Well, here it goes:

http://daeken.com/eqlogin.phps

Enjoy,
Cody Brocious
(Daeken M. BlackBlade)

Note: This WILL NOT work from a webserver running PHP, you must run it from the command line.

Since php is based on C
the creator, *cant remember his named*, created PHP because he wanted to develop HTML dynamicly from C.

so why dont you just export this to C ? :p

ok i gonna do it this WE if i have enough time.

first, the creator of PHP is Rasmus Lerdorf, someone I know quite well from IRC

second, the reason i wrote it in php was so that it wouldn't require recompilation for testing (a very good feature) and because i know php much better than i know c/c++... so there were obvious reasons there

i actually would prefer to keep it in php, but as it's GPL'd, you may to whatever you want to it.

Default broken link ?

C++ or php, as long as we have the source, it's better than just a window binary. PHP is a lot easyer / more secure / lighter to install on a linux server than wine + xfree + minilogin.exe (i cant just imagine to install this on a true linux server)...

but i can't get the file, is the host down ? (or often offline ?)
