Default Is it possible to place crafting stations?

I've searched the forums, and haven't found this, so please forgive me if I missed it somewhere.

Is it possible to place objects like crafting stations in game? For example, let's say you want to put some crafting stations in a particular spot in that zone, is that possible with out modifying zone files and such? In other words, is it as easy as it is to add a NPC to a zone?

I'd like to create a crafting area in my starting town if possible.

You bet, they are "Objects". Just find the appropriate object that you want to place in another zone, copy the line, change the Loc and zone number to where you want to place it an POW! Done. It's that easy.

*Edit: You may have to allow the zone to shutdown for the object to appear the next time you zone in. I can't remember if #reloadstatic works for objects, it's been awhile since I did any object moving.

Awesome. So, you don't have to do anything to make the object work (like as a smithing crafting station)? It just automatically functions as that crafting station because of what the object is right?

Check out this post. It should help.

Also, you can just copy the values from the object table in the database for a container you want to replicate and update the zone and coordinates.
