Default Old Zone Files (for client)

I'm not sure if this can be legitimately posted here ? So I will apologize now if
I am wrong. (some rules have a grey area).
I have a whole bunch of the older zone files (198 total), which were missing in
one of my eq clients. This is NOT a client download link, it seriously is only some
missing files of older classic zone files.
I put them all in a rar file on google drive if anyone needs them.
I will understand if the download link is not acceptable on this forum.

You can get the missing zone files here:
EDIT: Let's not link to copyright files.

This would fall under "distributing <company>'s intellectual property without their consent," which is a Bad Thing.

I don't see how this is any different from distributing any number of other files we share. I thought it was made pretty apparent the do not share piece is the game client itself. EZ server used to (not sure if they still do) host all of the extra files needed to make the UF client usable. Most servers share spell files and global load files.

You might be better informed than I, but I would think that art assets (textures) would count as creative works and therefore have copyright. Global load and spell files are just "functional" things, not creative works.

Edit: music too, there are some mp3s in there.

Well, I tried. My utmost priority is sticking with the rules of THIS forum.
Like I said, lot of "grey areas" in the rules involving copyright. When you speak of "textures"
Zaela_S, we look at the content being produced in the standard PEQ we download and lots
of copied textures in there, but I have no idea about all that.
But in the end, rules are rules and Mr Natedog was kind enough to correct me

Actually, I'm not aware of any texture data being stored on peq..but, I could be wrong...

The client program has the resource locally and we just tell it what to use..not provide it to the program for use.

EDIT:

The fact is, we are not breaking the EULA by providing a software emulator product.

Server admins are not breaking the EULA by providing a service, based on our product.

You the user are the one who is actually breaking the EULA.

So long as we, or server admins, don't supply/distribute copyrighted material, the only rules being violated are by the end-user.

This is essentially what has kept us alive this long and why p99 was able to enter into an agreement with Daybreak.

Thank You Uleat for kind of filling in the blanks for some that have foggy thoughts on it all.
Personally, I think the people running the show over on live could learn something from the
whole eqemu/peq project, considering (in my opinion) their own ventures went in the wrong
direction.
I figure if they went back to the beginning (like p99) and started over, they could bring it
all up with a whole new attitude. Regardless of player count, I think of the EQEmulator as
a bigger project than they are now.
